“Overall I would say that it was a lovely, positive experience. Ridgeway’s advice was really good. They weren’t expensive and they did what they said they would . I’ve already recommended them to several of my friends.”
Kim and her husband Mike had been planning their new kitchen for several years. Having had two kitchens in their home already they’d decided that this was it. Their third kitchen would be their final kitchen. So it needed to have everything they wanted and it needed to be built to last. Mike, a builder, had worked with Ridgeway before so knew they were up to the job but he and Kim decided to see how other kitchen companies compared. To their surprise, they struggled to find anyone else who could match the enthusiasm and can-do attitude of Ridgeway. So having met Wayne, Ridgeway’s designer, at their house in Long Crendon, they made an appointment to visit the showroom.
“I had a huge folder full of ideas,” says Kim. “I thought I knew what I wanted. But Wayne took a look at the style of my house as a whole and came up with loads of new ideas. It was a really collaborative experience and we spent a lot of time at the planning stage, pouring over CAD layouts, making sure every bit of space was being used and everything on my wish list was going to be possible.
“Having chosen the kitchen we wanted - a Prentice design - Wayne encouraged us to compare prices with the high street chains. He was right. We really were getting a much higher quality product for around the same price as less well built alternatives” says Kim. “And Ridgeway designed the kitchen around our needs. For example, I’m only 5ft tall so the ovens are fitted at a height that suits me.
“Ridgeway didn’t put pressure on us to buy our appliances through them. That said, when I did some shopping around I found out that Ridgeway could often get me the best price, even cheaper than if I’d bought online.
“Everything arrived on the day it was expected and Wayne was back and forward throughout the fitting to keep an eye on things. And if there were any snags, he knew how to fix them.
“Overall I would say that it was a lovely, positive experience. Ridgeway’s advice was really good. They weren’t expensive and they did what they said they would. I’ve already recommended them to several of my friends.”
